On these pages you will find information and news about the village of River in the County of Kent.     Diamond Jubilee Tree 2012 On Saturday 15th December 2012 an English Oak Tree was planted in the Recreation Ground to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee This had been provided by 1st River Brownies, 2nd River Brownies, Methodist Children's Groups, Parish Church Children's Groups, Abbey Preschool, River Preschool Playgroup, River Rainbows, River Cubs and River Guides. Representatives from these children's organisations helped plant the tree which is hoped will flourish and in future years become a mighty oak.     Site last updated 20/05/2013
